Precautions for using LED light-emitting diodes
1、 Use current
The normal operating current of an LED diode is 30MA, and even small fluctuations in voltage (such as 0.1V) can cause significant fluctuations in current (10% -15%)
2. Overcurrent protection: Excessive current can cause LED lights to burn out and accelerate brightness degradation.
3. LEDs should operate under the desired current conditions. It is generally recommended to use a current of 15-18mA for LEDs. If the current is too high, it will shorten the lifespan, while if the current is too low, it will not achieve the required strong light.
2、 Brightness testing and product usage instructions
When testing VF, brightness, and wavelength, the current must be 20mA. When testing VR, the IR should be set to 10UA, and when testing IR, the VR should be set to 5V.
When using products with color separation, please classify them according to the order of BIN numbers, and do not mix products with different BIN numbers (marked on each package label) on one product.
3、 Welding conditions
1. LED cannot be powered on during welding
When using a soldering iron for welding: the power of the soldering iron is below 30W, the temperature of the soldering iron tip should not exceed 280 ℃, the preheating time is 60 seconds, and the welding time should not exceed 3 seconds; When using immersion welding, the temperature should not exceed 260 ℃ and the time should not exceed 5 seconds.
3. Soldering position of soldering iron: more than 4 millimeters away from the bottom surface of the gel; Immersion welding position: greater than 3 millimeters from the bottom surface of the adhesive.
4. Before the temperature returns to normal during welding or heating, it is necessary to avoid any vibration or external force on the LED. It is recommended to use fixtures to fix the welding.
4、 Working storage temperature
1. LED lamps: operating temperature -30 ℃ -80 ℃, storage temperature -40 ℃ -85 ℃.
2. LED displays: operating temperature -20 ℃ -70 ℃, storage temperature -20 ℃ -85 ℃.
3. Outdoor LED lamps: operating temperature -20 ℃ -60 ℃, storage temperature -20 ℃ -75 ℃.
